The new Malang city station: A philosophical design

The number of train passengers arriving at the Kota Baru Station has grown. To address this issue, the Malang municipal council extended the station building by erecting a new structure behind the existing structure and separated by a railway line. The methodology utilized in this work is descriptive, showing the design process step by step using a philosophical perspective. Architects employ a variety of philosophical perspectives when designing a new structure. The new structure is designed to complement the function of the existing building, which is part of a heritage building. Additionally, the new structure follows the theory of sustainable architecture by optimizing its natural potential.
