Study of caffeine addition at different capacitation mediums on sperm quality of garut rams in vitro

This study aimed to investigate the impacts of caffeine supplementation in Brackett-Oliphant (BO) and Tyrode’s Albumin Lactate Pyruvate (TALP) medium on the sperm capacitation and compare them with in vitro fertilization procedure. Frozen semen was collected from five Garut rams previously reared in a special cage in Research Center for Biotechnology, Indonesian Institute of Science, Cibinong, Bogor, West Java. The research design complied with a factorial design by comparing two types of media (BO and TALP) enriched with caffeine at various levels (2, 4, and 6 mM).
