Zusammenfassung: | Kampung Unggul Chicken from The Agricultural Research and Development Agency (KUB Chicken) has various advantages over ordinary native chickens. This commodity is disseminated throughout Indonesia, including in South Sumatra, to encourage an increase in the population of native chickens through the development of KUB chickens. This study aims to determine the farmer’s perception of KUB chicken technology package innovation which affects the sustainability of technology adoption. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach through survey methods. The number of samples as respondents was 95 farmers from Cereme Village, Lubuk Linggau City, South Sumatra. The five perception variables in the study include: 1) relative advantage, 2) compatibility, (3) complexity, (4) trialability, and (5) observability. Perception analysis was performed using a Likert scale. The results showed that farmers’ perceptions were in the moderate category of all observed variables, meaning that farmers already had a fairly good understanding and perspective on the Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB) chicken technology package, both in terms of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. To increase the effectiveness of the KUB chicken development program in the future, it is necessary to continue to strive so that farmers’ perception is expanding, followed by skill improvement. Increased perception and skills of farmers can be pursued through various extension methods with the participation of all stakeholders. |
