Vibrational analysis of composite laminated shell: A review

Extensive research has been carried out recently on composite laminated cylindrical shells to strengthen the structure. This paper includes a concise review of existing research on the behavior of composite laminated shells, keeping a strong focus on studies that contribute directly to the development of the composite field. Topics covered include material properties of composite structure, different shell shapes, various shell theories for vibrational analysis. From the topics covered above, reliable theories regarding free vibrational analysis are being found in the free vibrational analysis of laminated composite material; it was found that natural frequencies of composite material depend on the laminated scheme and boundary conditions.
