Performance of steel fiber-reinforced concrete corbels without secondary reinforcement
Five reinforced concrete corbels were tested considering four volume ratios of steel fiber (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0%) keeping shear span to depth ratio (a/d) constant equals 0.7. The results revealed that the load capacity increased with increasing fiber volume content and the mode of failure changed...

Zusammenfassung: | Five reinforced concrete corbels were tested considering four volume ratios of steel fiber (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0%) keeping shear span to depth ratio (a/d) constant equals 0.7. The results revealed that the load capacity increased with increasing fiber volume content and the mode of failure changed from shear into flexure. Where the test results demonstrated that the addition of steel fiber, leading to an increase in the capacity by (67%), cracking load in the corbels compared with control corbels and improves both shear capacity and ductility of the tested corbels. |
