Zusammenfassung: | Klaten Regency is a productive rice-producing area in the Central Java region, because it has the characteristics of fertile soil and abundant supply of natural springs. The current problem faced by farmers is the number of attacks of various types of pests, causing the productivity level of lowland rice (Oryza sativa) to decrease. The purpose of this study was to analyze population dynamics through the diversity index of lowland rice pests (Oryza sativa). Observation of population dynamics includes identification of pests, potential damage due to pest attacks, and preventive actions taken by farmers. The method used is the method of vegetation analysis using a square measuring plot of 30 plots with a size of 1 m x 1 m. Pest species diversity was measured by calculating the Shannon Diversity Index. The results of the identification of the types of pests found species of Golden Snails, Brown Planthopper, Rats, and Sparrows. Efforts to control pest populations carried out by farmers are using traps, repellents, and chemical drugs to prevent crop damage. |
