Research into the causes of influence of the railcar maintenance system on the condition of the rolling stock

The influence of the existing maintenance system on the condition of railway freight cars, being part of the transportation process, was assessed. The relevancy to change of approaches of railcars maintenance and an update of the regulatory documents containing the requirements for railway rolling stock throughout the life cycle was discovered. The negative consequences of the railway car complex reorganization were considered. The current condition of the railway freight cars rolling stock, which constitutes the transportation process, was analyzed. The risks of uncoupling of empty and loaded railway freight cars due to fault conditions depending on the railway type were assessed. The removal from operation of railcars according minor components was analyzed. The main conditions for the unchecked advance of the railway car traffic volume under the existing scheme of warranty section for the train maintenance were determined. It was proposed to minimize the losses of transportation market participants from emergency repairs of railway freight cars.
