Zusammenfassung: | Vegetable oil's fatty acid content will undergo epoxidation to form epoxide. The purpose of the epoxidation reaction was to change the structure of the carbon-carbon double bond by removing unsaturated material from the oxirane oxygen ring using oxidizing agents, in order to increase the oxidative stability of epoxide. Then, kinetic studies can be carried out by developing a single-phase kinetic model and using MATLAB simulation to find the value of the kinetic rate constant, k, for each process. This study focuses on the comparison of experimental and simulation data derived from simulation findings. Based on the findings of this study, it is possible to conclude that the kinetic model suggested for the epoxidation process accurately describes to the experimental data. |
