Zusammenfassung:The measurement of density, ρ, and ultrasonic velocity, u of an imidazolium-based ionic liquid, 1-Butyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride, [bmim][Cl] in tripotassium citrate, K3Cit –water solutions at T = 298.15K and 0.1MPa atmospheric pressure were conducted. The experimentally obtained density and ultrasonic velocity data were used to compute acoustical parameters such as isothermal compressibility (βT), isentropic compressibility (βs), heat capacity ratio (γ), coefficient of thermal expansion (α), intermolecular free length (Lf), molar compressibility (W), relative association (RA), and hydration number, ηH, The results were expressed in terms of ion-solvent interactions and the change of parameters in changing the solute concentrations. Moreover concluding interpretations about ion-solvent interactions are provided.
