Zusammenfassung: | The research was aimed to determine the optimal staying-time required by wastewater treatment systems in Terong market canal to obtain wastewater quality as the specified quality standards. It begins with the control and acclimatization or refreshment of plants in this case Eichornia crassipes for a week in a separate container (plastic tub), prepares betel leaf extract through heating and filtering twice and zeolite then wastewater is put in the reactor tub and after it is added the three natural materials and perform measurement from the first-to the seventh day. The parameters observed were BOD and COD. The results of research indicated that the optimum staying-time for most effective treatment required by the domestic wastewater treatment system to obtain the quality of wastewater as the specified quality standard was 3 days for BOD and a day for COD. It is expected that the combination of natural materials can help the community to provide clean water because it is economical and raw materials are easily obtained. |
