Zusammenfassung:The study is aimed at solving an important problem – the regeneration of catalytic converters for the diesel engine porous block exhaust gases obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. Techniques and methods for regenerating porous walls of particulate filters and converters of diesel exhaust gases have been considered. It has been found that impregnating a ceramic block with a catalyst allows simultaneously reducing the content of the incomplete fuel combustion products CO and CxHy in the exhaust gases. It has been established that soot and coke particles can be removed from the catalyst surface by periodically feeding an aqueous or alcoholic carbamide (urea) solution to the converter or particulate filter inlet and adding antismoke additives to the fuel. A technique for reverse and direct purging of converters with compressed air from car receivers and back-purging with exhaust gases to activate the regeneration of catalytic converters and particulate filters is proposed.
