Zusammenfassung: | The SARS-CoV-2 in the latter part of 2019 is perhaps the biggest health emergency that attacks globally. Vaccination has become a key strategy to prevent infectious diseases. World Health Organization (WHO) described vaccine hesitancy as a global health challenge. The researchers reviewed to assimilate scientific evidence on COVID-19 vaccine acceptance in South East Asia. A comprehensive search of the scientific literature was conducted on PubMed and Google Scholar. A Boolean search strategy was using the following keywords: “vaccine”, “COVID-19”, “acceptance”, “intention”, and “vaccination”. The review was performed on English and Indonesian publications conducted in the South East Asia countries between 2020 and 2021. The enabling factor of COVID-19 acceptance could be grouped into demographic factors (sex, age group, education, job, economic level, and history of diseases/comorbid), vaccine profile (effectiveness, side effect, and safety), health beliefs, and the way of COVID-19 communicated to the public. To increase COVID-19 vaccination uptake, all parties involved can arrange interventions by observing these enabling factors. |
