Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this study is to produce teaching materials use Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) context on climate change materials and this impact in our life. This study was conducted using R&D method and design was a modified Model of Educational Reconstruction. Steps of SSI-based learning are developed through Socio Critical and Problem Oriented Lesson Plan which consists of, (1) approach and problem analysis, (2) problem clarification through practical activities, (3) continuing social issues, (4) discussion and evaluation, and (5) metareflection. Teaching materials use SSI context on climate change materials and this impact in our life that have been developed consisting of 5 sub-chapters are definition of climate change, climate change factors, climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation of disasters due to climate change, and efforts to reduce climate change. Each sub-chapters contains a material description, list of additional reading and evaluation. Assessment of teaching materials is implemented through two techniques are validation based on general criteria and assessment based on Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) criteria. The results of the validation and assessment indicate that the teaching materials are proper and qualified to be used in learning process at the university, CVI=0,94. The results of student responses to the quality of teaching materials show that teaching materials with the context of SSI on climate change and this impact in our life content have been understood and fulfilled their learning expectations.
