Zusammenfassung:The alarming and rapid rise in construction along with the exhaustive use of natural resources in producing structures is leading to natural resources likely to becoming extinct further leading to potential environmental hazards. Reused concrete aggregates which can be produced by crushing construction and demolition waste is a potential solution for protecting the ecological assets and reduce environmental hazards thereby solving the problems of waste management to some extent. Here, we have strived to review the research findings done by researchers in areas of necessity of reusing construction waste, estimating, classifying and quantifying construction waste, crushing methods, assessing the properties of reused concrete aggregates in comparison to conventional aggregates. With the help of this study, it can be affirmed that recycled concrete aggregates can be used to produce a fresh and green concrete having nearly identical properties to that of fresh concrete manufactured from natural resources.
