Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the authors investigated and analyzed the changes in aerodynamic and thermal characteristics caused by changing the orientation of Active grille shutters. The AGS (Active grille shutters) are to blame, as they are themajor source of air into the car from the outside atmosphere. Their primary goal is to actively feed air to the radiator, which will aid in the cooling of the engine and other components. It also has a significant impact on a vehicle's aerodynamic characteristics when travelling at high speeds. In this work, we will take a center cross-section 2D model of an automotive vehicle and perform CFD analysis on that model with suitable boundary conditions. We will be able to estimate the drag and lift caused by different AGS orientations, as well as the quantity of air supplied into the vehicle's hood, which will cool down the components or engine in this case, using this model of the problem. Finally, we will discuss what worked and what didn't, as well as which angle is ideal for achieving the greatest outcomes for each situation.
