Zusammenfassung: | As an industrial city, Balikpapan City has the potential for rainwater as a good source of raw water. But based on the quality, it still does not meet the quality standards such as the pH and total coliform parameters. Based on these problems, this study aims to identify the quality of rainwater and alternative rainwater treatment by the conditions of Balikpapan City. The method used is The determination of the selected treatment unit is based on the effectiveness of the rainwater treatment unit that has been carried out in previous research. The results showed that the filtration method with multimedia Mollusk Sand, Activated Carbon, and Sand Filter could increase the pH value at S1:6 to 8.04, S2: 5.85 to 7.85, S3: 5, 18 to 7.18. Meanwhile, to reduce the total coliform value, a disinfection process can be used. |
