Zusammenfassung: | Bacterial conjunctivitis is a commonly diagnosed ophthalmic condition with high incidence and prevalence around the globe. Although bacterial conjunctivitis is generally considered self-limiting in nature, topical therapies are applied to limit morbidity and reduce symptoms. Drugs and treatment dealing with bacterial conjunctivitis are associated with bactericidal effects by incorporating pathways within the bacterial cell, including DNA replication and protein synthesis. Diverse antibacterials and analogs provide great potentials for wide spectrum of Gram-negative, Gram-negative, and other pathogens. In this work, the theories for mechanism of three types of antibacterial agents for bacterial conjunctivitis, levofloxacin, tobramycin, and azithromycin, are discussed to facilitate understanding of antibacterial treatments. |
