Zusammenfassung: | This study analyzes the relationship between critical thinking skills and creative thinking by applying problem solving-based learning integrated with a Minangkabau culture called the RANDAI learning model. This study uses a quasi-experimental design involving students of the Biology Education study program, Padang State University, Indonesia, who program human anatomy and physiology courses in the 2018/2019 academic year. The participants' critical thinking and creative thinking skills were measured using an essay test. The relationship between critical thinking skills and creative thinking is analyzed through regression testing. The results showed (1) critical thinking skills were able to predict creative thinking skills significantly (Y=9.995+0.913x), (2) the Regression Coefficient indicated that an increase in critical thinking skills scores of 1 point would increase students' creative thinking skills scores by 0.913. Thus, it can be concluded that the RANDAI learning model can be used as an alternative in empowering the critical and creative thinking skills of prospective biology teachers. |
