Zusammenfassung: | Nanotechnology deals with the study of structures which are less than 100nm in size and their uses. Cancer was once considered as incurable disease and is still a deadliest disease which is leading cause of death among people of younger ages. Advancement in cancer therapies, diagnosis and use of nanotechnology in cancer therapy over last few decades have proved to be beneficial in treatment of several patients suffering from cancer. Nanoparticles with ability to deliver chemotherapy drugs directly to cancer cells are under development. Smart targeted Nanoparticles have been developed they can be used to deliver drugs directly on target cancerous cells at sustained rate with better efficiency and very lower toxicity for treating primary and secondary tumors. Nanomedicine application areas include therapy, drug delivery, imaging, diagnostic and antimicrobial techniques. Nanoparticles have special recognizing abilities and can deliver drugs specifically on cancer effected target cells, therefore use of Nanoparticles for specific drug delivery to cancer cells will be very significant in cancer treatment in addition to therapies and imaging. |
