Zusammenfassung:Modified grain refinement influences much enriched properties in Aluminum Metal Matrix composite materials. This paper is analyzed the heat treatment which causes major changes in the eutectic matrix with reinforcement. Wide range of researches are available on the heat treatment of alloy materials, have been reviewed. Even though the microporosity in unavoidable, modified microstructure reveals that spherodization rate of eutectic silicon (Mg2Si) particles are more than ordinary as cast samples. The extent of structural change shows that some parameters like mean diameter, globular shape particles count and secondary dendrite arm spacing are strongly influenced the functional behavior of the material. This research paper investigates the microstructure refinement of Al-Si alloys with various heat treatment holding time.
