An artificially intelligent machine for answer scripts evaluation during pandemic to support the online methodology of teaching and evaluation

The existing, widely used manual assessment methods are time-consuming and cumbersome. The grading system can also be biased by the instructor. Given the pandemic, it is very essential to have an online assessment system to support online education. Hence, an automatic evaluation scheme is very essential. The available automatic assessment systems focus primarily on question papers with objective schemes. With the proposed system we try to achieve a quicker and non-biased system for evaluation. This is a framework for the automatic assessment of descriptive answers using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
