Zusammenfassung: | The article analyzes the results of the implementation of activities to improve the emotional intelligence of future public servants as part of the additional course “Development of emotional literacy” who have been partially trained in a distance education mode since the beginning of 2020. The purpose of the work is to demonstrate and evaluate the results achieved in ensuring the emotional readiness of civil servants for professional activities for the good of society and compare them with the conclusions and assumptions formulated in the framework of previous studies. 84 students of higher education institutions of the city of Kaliningrad (Russia) who studied in the period 2020-2021 partially or completely in a distance mode and completed an additional course “Development of emotional literacy”. The students were studied using N. Hall's methodology “Diagnostics of emotional intelligence” (the variant adapted by N.P Fetiskin, V.V. Kozlov and G.M. Manuilov). Along with the analysis of the partial components of the emotional intelligence of future civil servants (“Emotional awareness”, “Managing emotions”, “Self-motivation”, “Empathy” and “Managing the emotions of other people”), a correlation analysis of the similarities and differences in the manifestation of the components of emotional intelligence was conducted before and after the completion of the course “Development of emotional literacy”. Based on the data obtained, conclusions were drawn about the feasibility of the proposed additional course “Development of emotional literacy” for training civil servants. |
