Zusammenfassung:Most of the structures were subjected to aggressive influences of environment, these corrosion attacks on structures cause damage and lead to failure of the structural element or the whole structure [1]. Corrosion causes deterioration of material and leads to destruction of structures, especially in coastal and industrial area [8]. Corrosion of steel is an electro-chemical phenomenon. Electro-chemical corrosion result because of the existence of different metals of non-uniformities in steel or non- uniformities in chemical or physical environment, afforded by the surrounding concrete. This paper aimed at preventing corrosion in RC slabs using anti-corrosive agents such as providing zinc coating to the steel rods. The casted RC slabs with set of controlled specimen and slabs with anti-corrosive steel rods were tested. The Rebaklens coating (RC) is used by Galvanostatic Method (AM1) and Half Cell Method (AM2). The results are compared with uncoated bars. Rebaklens coating gives the better result to resist the corrosion. It is premeditated to radiate RC slabs with set of controlled specimen and slabs with anti-corrosive steel rods. The results provided comparative analysis of both sets of slabs.
