Zusammenfassung: | The extensive usage and aggressive consumption makes the non-renewable energy, such as fossil fuel, to become a high-priced energy in recent years. As global awareness of this problem grows, renewable energy production, such as solar energy, has become more important than ever. Therefore, in this proposed approach, a Z-source seven level inverter is used which exploits Z-impedance network between the inverter circuit and the DC source for attaining the boosting of input voltage. During the ON condition of both switches in the same phase leg, a shoot through state is created, that is not achievable with traditional inverter topology. A PWM generator with a pulse separator is exploited to enhance the fundamental resultant voltage with minimized THD. An LC filter is utilized to reduce the harmonics and the switching ripple amplitude generating sinusoidal voltage at the terminals of the grid. The simulation is performed in MATLAB/SIMULINK and the obtained results reveal improved efficiency with minimized THD of 4.08%. |
