Zusammenfassung: | Acrylic resin (PMMA) is the best materials used to manufacture socket prosthetics. This article examines the effect of adding another resin unsaturated polyester UP to obtain a polymer blend then studying their properties – physical & mechanical characteristics of blends PMMA/UP at different weight fraction (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%) of UP to PMMA. Some mechanical and physical characteristics such as tensile strength (T.S.), elastic modulus (E), flexural strength (F.S.), flexural modulus (E.F.), impact strength (I.S.), and density, and water absorption. It had been executed on all organized samples, which might be used for socket prostheses applications. An effect confirmed that the premiere percentage of PMMA is 10% that has a perfect characteristic. So, this pattern can be a promising cloth to attain the residences essential for socket prosthetic applications. |
