Zusammenfassung:The ability to think creatively in mathematics is an ability possessed by every student. This ability is used to solve problems using a method and strategy in order to solve problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of independent learning on the creative thinking ability of IAIN Bengkulu students. This research uses experimental research methods using quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental types. While the population is 6A semester students of mathematics at IAIN Bengkulu with a sample of 21 students and only 20 students who follow it. This research instrument provides a learning independence questionnaire and a creative thinking ability questionnaire of 15 question scales. Then from the results of this study it was concluded that the creative thinking ability of students was positively influenced by student learning independence where the results of the p-value t-test calculation were greater than the limit, namely p-value> 0.05 so that creative thinking abilities were influenced by student independence.
