Discussion regarding the comfort parameters of the households

In the Department of Mechatronics and Precision Mechanics part of the University “Politehnica” Bucharest we start to develop a tool dedicated to assessing life quality according using the notion of comfort which link three aspects of pollution: noise, light, and air with two aspects of thermal and odor discomfort. The tool is based on a compressive database starting from a simple notion linked to the comfort: the average house size. This paper investigates the average house sizes around the world and analyze how much space is enough to become comfortable.
