Stochastic calcium oscillations in the dynamical Li-Rinzel model

In this paper, we study a stochastic variant of the Li-Rinzel model of calcium oscillations. A bifurcation analysis of the model is carried out, parametric zones of equilibrium and oscillatory regimes are described, basins of their attraction and separatrices detaching these basins are constructed. A probabilistic description of the frequency and amplitude characteristics of calcium oscillations under conditions of parametric random disturbances is given. The phenomena of stochastic excitability and generation of oscillations of mixed modes are described.
