On the convergence of nourein iterative method for simultaneous approximation of polynomial zeros

Zusammenfassung: | In this talk, we discuss the local and semilocal convergence of a classical iterative method due to Nourein [1]. This method is known also as the Ehrich’s method with Newton’s correction. It is one of the most efficient in the class of iterative methods for finding all the zeros of a polynomial simultaneously. Our semilocal convergence result improves and complements with error estimates the result of Petković, Petković and Rančić [2]. We end the talk with an example that shows the applicability of our semilocal convergence result. |
