Zusammenfassung: | Novalac-fibers are resin-based fibers which are also distributed under the brand name Kynol fibers. Textile materials made from these fibers are used for flame-retardant applications and heat insulation. The actual investigation is related to the dyeing, finishing and functionalization of Kynol fibers. Evaluated are disperse dyes, reactive dyes and the application of color pigments. As alternative method for coloration a laser treatment is investigated. Functionalization is done as hydrophilic and antistatic treatment. Also realized is an oleophobic functionalized Kynol fiber material. Altogether it is shown that dyeing and functionalization of Kynol fibers are possible. However, the current results are only the first step and further investigations have to be done to improve the processes and especially the rubbing fastness of dyed and functionalized products. |
