Zusammenfassung: | Additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping has facilitated customized mass production in the industrial sector and correspondingly plays an important role in various engineering applications. The advent of various additive manufacturing processes has enabled various researchers to study the diverse set of characteristics associated with each additive manufacturing process. Fused deposition modeling is one of the additive manufacturing processes that offer excellent mechanical properties. It is an extrusion based process that holds various process-structure relationships which are difficult to model by conventional mathematical methods. The idea of data driven machine learning is suggested and the existing studies based on the concept of machine learning are reviewed. The review is concluded by suggesting potential future directions of research. |
