Zusammenfassung:Entamoeba histolytica is a significant cause of human parasitic morbidity and mortality worldwide in addition to malaria and schistosomiasis. The aim of this analysis is to estimate the prevalence of certain protozoa (Entamoeba histolytica) among different ages and for both sexes as well as the relationship between the incidence of infection and age, sex and year season. The study was conducted in Al-Furat general hospital / Baghdad, Iraq from 1 October 2017 to 28 February 2018, the prevalence of Entamoeba histolytica was 15.89% among 497 patients. The two stages of parasite which found in the same patient are 50.63%, while one stage was 49.36%. In relation to sex the incidence was high in male 51.89% than female 48.10%. Two stages found in male 45% than one stage 58.97%, while female incidence was 55%, 41.02% respectively. The cyst in female was 50% than male 30.43%. The trophozoite was high in male 69.56% than female 50%. The two stages high in female 55% than male 45%. About age: the high prevalence in male age group (more than 60 years) 60%, and the lowest is 12.34% in (21-40 years). The high prevalence in female under the age (21-40 years) 20%, the lowest percentage was 12.71% in (> 20 years). In age group (1 month -20) a higher prevalence in male than female15.89%, 12.71%. In age group (21-40) a higher prevalence in female than male 20%, 12.34%. In age group (41-60) a higher prevalence was in female than male 19.44%, 16.66% respectively. In age group more than 60 years was higher in male 60%, while female 14.28%. In February high prevalence of one stage was 66.66%, the lowest was in November 31.81%. In November the high prevalence of two stage 68.18%, and lowest in February 33.33%. High prevalence of the total infection in December 40.50%, the lowest was in February 7.59%.
