Protective effects of curcumin on testicular and sperm parameters abnormalities induced by nicotine in male rats

Smoking is one of the most problem causes oxidative stress and effect on health of human. That effected on the reproductive behavioral which nicotine has toxic effect on spermatogenesis and causes testicular tissues toxicity. In recent years, researcher interested the curcumin as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substance, which used as treatment for various diseases. The researcher illustrated that curcumin is used as protective compounds against toxic substance promote the vitality of various organs. The modern research can promote the sperm parameters and testicular tissue. Thus, this study aimed for evaluation antagonistic ability of curcumin against toxic effect of the nicotine in 40 male rats. The result shwed that curcumin have protective effect which have significant different with the induced groups (intraperitonial injection of 1.5 ml/kg nicotine), conclusion the curcumin can use as protective substance and promoted sperm parameters degeneration effect against nicotine during experiment period.
