Zusammenfassung:Transportation sector is mainly responsible in adding greenhouse gases to environment. These pollutants are produced by burning of petrol and diesel which are used in different locomotives. Though biodiesel has proved to be a promising and best resource for alternative fuel, its exhaust emissions and specially NOx are harmful. Nano particles added to emulsions has potential to reduce exhaust emissions without compromising on engine performances. Addition of nano additives to diesel and biodiesel aids in increasing fuel properties. Nano particles increases surface to volume ratio and oxidation rate of fuel. It decreases ignition delay and improves ignition temperature of combustion zone. Study focuses on advancements in performances and emission characteristics of emulsions with nanoparticles year wise and their potential effect on physiochemical properties.
