Zusammenfassung:One of the possibilities for solving the problems of controlled thermonuclear fusion is concerned with open magnetic traps. The use of a new regime of diamagnetic confinement of plasma in an open trap is of great interest in connection with the fundamental possibility of creating a compact thermonuclear reactor. A hybrid 3D numerical model of an open trap was created to test the principles underlying the idea of diamagnetic plasma confinement and to determine the parameters of effective plasma confinement. The model is based on the kinetic approximation to describe one plasma component and the hydrodynamic approximation for the other (PIC-MHD).
