Zusammenfassung:The present work is about the feasibility study of a negative ion generator for flow control. The experimentations were carried out on a jet impingement facility using the smoke visualization method. The results showed a significant effect of the ion wind on the downstream free jet. The significant outcomes were the change in the length of the potential core along with the entrainment width and subsequent flow characteristics analyzed at different Reynolds numbers.
