Zusammenfassung:The object of the study is powder of nanodiamond of detonation synthesis. The carbon powder containing the diamond phase and obtained as a result of detonation synthesis is a hierarchical system. At the upper level of this system are porous nanostructured agglomerates of micron sizes with a large specific surface area, consisting of diamond and graphite monocrystallites and surface impurities. For successful use in technological applications, the size and structure of agglomerates are of great importance. Therefore, it is important to be able to control these parameters. The paper proposes two possible ways to control the size of agglomerates. Firstly, the process of particle coagulation during expansion of detonation products of explosives during diamond synthesis is theoretically considered. An equation for estimating the maximum diameter of the obtained particles has been proposed and analyzed. Second, a method of fragmentation of agglomerates in suspension by ultrasound is known. An equation is given for estimating the minimum diameter of particles fragmented with ultrasound. An experiment was conducted on the fragmentation of agglomerates with ultrasound in a water suspension with a number of samples obtained under different synthesis conditions.
