The results of study revealed the levels of Tropomyosin, Paramyosin, Cathepsin-D were significantly increasing (P &lt;0.05) in their concentrations before treatment in patients with scabies (2. 6136 ±0. 21372 pg /ml), (29. 234 ±1. 8010 pg /ml). (53. 248 ±3. 7237 pg /ml) respectively, in compared to the control group (1. 3012±0. 15098 pg /ml), (20. 493±3. 2801 pg /ml), (30. 675±2. 5568 pg /ml) respectively, but after treatment the results of study revealed that Cathepsin-D in patients with scabies non- significantly increased (P&lt; 0.05) 11.254 ±1.0982 pg /ml) in compared to the control group (10. 970±1. 0610 pg /ml). Also the serum levels of Tropomyosin after treatment was significantly decreased (P&lt; 0.05) (16.121 ±2.1374 pg /ml) in compared to the control group (20. 493±3. 2801 pg /ml), while paramyosin after treatment was non-significantly decrease (P&lt; 0.05) (28.631 ±2.4671 pg /ml) in compared to the control group (20. 493±3. 2801 pg /ml). Also the present study revealed that serum levels of Melatonin in male patients infected with S. scabiei before and after treatment were non-significant decrease (P&lt; 0.05) (7. 8424 ± 0. 79423 pg /ml), (9.3013 ±1.2114 pg /ml), respectively in compared to the control group (10. 185±1. 3965 pg /ml). From the current study we conclude that the scabies disease influences on the human immunity represented by the Tropomyosin, Paramyosin, Melatonin and Cathepsin-D in patients infected with scabies and may be used as good biomarkers in detection of scabies. We believe that melatonin is a good diagnostic biochemical marker as its associated with itching.</description><identifier>ISSN: 0094-243X</identifier><identifier>EISSN: 1551-7616</identifier><identifier>DOI: 10.1063/5.0027515</identifier><identifier>CODEN: APCPCS</identifier><language>eng</language><publisher>Melville: American Institute of Physics</publisher><subject>Biomarkers ; Diagnostic systems ; Eggs ; Immunology ; Itching ; Melatonin</subject><ispartof>AIP conference proceedings, 2020, Vol.2290 (1)</ispartof><rights>Author(s)</rights><rights>2020 Author(s).
