Zusammenfassung:Renewable energy, especially domestic products, such as, solar water heater and solar lanterns is being gradually accepted by people in and around the world. Government of India too have been proactive in promoting clean energy throughout the country. Any projects or concepts which are new to the people have always been looked upon with suspicion and doubts. The same is true in case of solar water heater and solar lantern in Sikkim. Inspite of various challenges encountered by Sikkim relate to renewable energy, it has somehow found its place in few households due to involvement of SREDA. The current study has taken independent and dependent variables related to psychographic factors, which enabled researcher to identify psychographic beliefs of people from Sikkim when it comes to purchase of renewable energy.
