Zusammenfassung: | Lithium sulfate (Li2SO4) is a well-known ionic conductor being explored for lithium-ion batteries. This study gives an account of the experimental temperature-dependent Raman scattering study of rapidly quenched Li2SO4 in the temperature range: 303 K to 863 K; this temperature range includes the monoclinic to the cubic phase transition of Li2SO4. The investigated sample was prepared using an in-house developed twin-roller rapid quenching set-up. Temperature-dependent Raman frequency shift and bandwidth broadening of the symmetric stretching ν1 mode are discussed in detail with emphasis on the phase transition point. Comparison of the ν1 peak position is made with ionic conductivity data of Li2SO4. |
