Localized whistler eigenmodes in tokamaks

The existence of radially well‐localized whistler eigenmodes (WE) is shown. The location of WE modes may vary from the region close to the plasma edge to the central region, depending on the ratio of poloidal and toroidal wave numbers and on the plasma density profile.
