| Zusammenfassung: | The method of ordered cumulants is presented for the solution of multiplicative stochastic processes. The relationship between this method and the irreducible cluster integral method of Mayer, which is used in the theory of the imperfect gas, is elucidated. The cluster property of ordered cumulants is proved. A critique of the literature in this area is presented which exposes some errors in the formulas. Several examples are indicated for the application of the ordered cumulant method. |
