Zusammenfassung: | The thin surface layers containing Al, B, and O ions have been successfully created in stainless steel using Ion Beam Implantation (IBI). The samples were treated with aluminum and boron ions simultaneously with the DIANA metal-metalloid ion source. Then samples were treated with oxygen ions by means of the DIONIS gas ions source. The distribution of metal atoms and gas in the surface layer of experimental samples was examined using the MS-7201М secondary ion mass spectrometer. The roughness of the samples before and after treatment was measured. The corrosion resistance samples were tested. Ion implantation with Al, B, and O has been demonstrated to improve the corrosion resistance of stainless steels. |
