Optimization of rating algorithm in sports in comparison with bookmakers’ ratings

For a long time, the accuracy of the rating systems used in the game sports was lower than the accuracy of bookmakers’ ratings. The purpose of this work is to optimize the rating calculation in the game sports in order to improve the accuracy of estimates. The methodology of such rating is not based on the Bayes formula, but it used a specially selected system of linear equations. Forecasts and an estimation of real results of arbitrarily taken matches of the championships of England, Spain and Germany have shown higher accuracy of the developed automatic forecast in comparison with some bookmakers.
