Zusammenfassung:The muon spectrometer of the CMS experiment is based on three different gaseous detector technologies: Drift Tube (DT) chambers in the barrel, Cathode Strip Chambers (CSC) in the endcaps, and Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) both in the barrel and endcaps. The performance of the muon system has been studied with LHC proton-proton collision data, collected with the CMS detector, at s=13TeV. The redundancy of the muon detectors ensures correct and reliable muon identification, as well as triggering, in the harsh conditions of high instantaneous luminosity. In this talk, the different components of the muon spectrometer will be described and the performance of the system will be presented in its main aspects.
