Zusammenfassung:Occording to US Department of Energy, up to 39% of the world’s energy reserve is consumed by buildings and up to 52% is contributed by the use of HVAC system. An adsorption system that use physical adsorbent such as silica gel and zeolite with water pairing is used to produce cooling making vapor compression system no longer be used. It will no longer need refrigerants so it will be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. There are some drawbacks in using adsorption system such as low COP which needs more optimization to make it perform better. The adsorption chiller will be able to produce a higher cooling power at a higher hot water inlet. Using the genetic algorithm optimization technique, it is found that the best control mechanism for this system is 781, 34, and 34 seconds for adsorption, mass recovery, and heat recovery time respectively.
