Zusammenfassung: | The paper considers the possibility of using reinforced polyethylene pipes (RPP) for gas pipelines with a pressure of up to 1.2 MPa under conditions of cold climate and permafrost soils. Physical and mechanical tests of pipes of various types and monitoring of the experimental and industrial section of a gas pipeline are accomplished; witness sample taken out from a section of an experimental gas pipeline after long-term operation are investigated. The results of this study reveal the temperature of a ductile-brittle transition for RPP with an adhesive layer, the possibility of reducing the depth of the gas pipeline laying, and the possibility of wide application of RPP in conditions of permafrost and low temperatures. |
