Zusammenfassung: | Water is the curtail resource for sustainable life on Earth, yet it is subjected increasing pollution. Advanced oxidation processes showed a good performance in removing the micropollutants from water environment. In this study, 2-the authors evaluated UV-C/H2O2 and UV-C/S2O82- photooxidative processes for treatment of 14 emerging contaminants (pharmaceuticals and pesticides). Degradation of ECs by both photooxidations obeyed first-order kinetics. The kinetics of UV-C/S2O82- processes were several times faster than in UV-C/H2O2 cases. Also, it proved to be highly depended on [EC]:[OX] ratio and less sensitive to pH change. |
