Zusammenfassung: | Electroporation is the permeabilization of the cell membrane due to an electric field inducement. As a function of the field amplitude and duration, the permeabilization can be two type either reversible or irreversible. This study suggests that electroporation may become an innovative and important tool in treating cancer. In this study cervical cancer cell (HeLa cell) was used as a sample for electroporation process. This experiment was conducted for 48 hours. The parameters used for pulse duration were 100µs, 500µs, 1ms, 2ms, and 5ms. The number of pulses and the voltage used for this experiment were fixed at one pulse and 600 volts. The results of this experiment of pulse amplitude 600 volts at 5ms and with a single pulse could be considered as the lowest percentage viability. The study aims to investigate the best parameter of electric field on HeLa cell to act as anti-cancer or anti-proliferation. For contribution, the process of electroporation can combined with extract of (Neolamarckia Cadamba Leaves) to investigate the effect on HeLa cell. Finally, it was expected to inhibit the percentage of viability of the HeLa cell towards anti-cancer application. |
