Zusammenfassung: | In this study, the structural behavior of a pontoon is analyzed. The structural analysis is entirely based on theoretical and computer-based rational design. For this purpose, Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software Multiframe is used. The findings of the analysis are the deflections, stress distribution including shear stress, normal stress and Von-Mises stress of the model in light condition and laden condition. The maximum displacement of the pontoon is measured, which occurs around the midship. The seriousness of structural damage is assessed and the structural adequacy of the design is checked. Thus the response analysis of the structure for the loads on the overall structure is checked to the limit state condition in which a structure or a structural member has become unfit for one of its intended role due to one or more load effects. |
